WCRIS Special Needs Scholarship Handbook

What’s in the SNSP Handbook?

The state’s four voucher programs have been a financial lifesaver for many students and their schools, but administrators tell WCRIS they need a tool to tackle the complex requirements.

So in response to demands by its members, WCRIS has developed a new resource for schools navigating the Special Needs Scholarship Program (SNSP).

The first-ever edition of the WCRIS SNSP Handbook outlines — all in one place — the necessary requirements and considerations that schools will need to understand prior to joining. It gives access to the location of many relevant and necessary state rules, which are hard to find or buried deep in the DPI website.

Additionally, it helps private schools navigate this complicated program and understand how the SNSP interacts with other federal education programs and special education services from a local public school district.

Use it to onboard your school, new principals or Choice administrators, pastors, and oversight boards to the program. It’s possible to join the SNSP and the Choice program at a time, as well.

The Handbook is designed as a primer, but it offers so much more. Also filled with tips and tricks from long-participating schools, the Handbook provides a one-stop-shop for those scaling the confusing SNSP program.
