The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty (WILL) is representing WCRIS in a case before the State Supreme Court to stop the recent City of Racine Public Health order closing schools until January 15.

This is the second case of its kind, the other being the case against a similar order in Dane County. The court issued an injunction of the Dane closure order so schools — both private and public — are able to continue in-person instruction, if they wish.

We’ll learn in the coming days if the court will grant an injunction for the City of Racine order. In the meantime, schools are scrambling to set-up virtual instruction school wide. Many of the schools were offering online instruction for those parents who chose to keep their children at home.

Oral arguments in the Dane County lawsuit are set for December 8.
