Wayland Academy, a WCRIS member from the Wisconsin Association of Independent Schools (WAIS), is bettering students’ lives with the help of a $1 million state grant. They plan to use the funds for tutoring, life skills development, mental health and wellness workshops and more.

Another WCRIS member, Saint Thomas More Catholic School in Green Bay, was highlighted in a recent article by The Badger Institute, a nonpartisan policy and research organization.

The article recounts a student’s flourishing at Saint Thomas More as well as the story of his mother, a Mexican immigrant. Inspired by her family’s experience at Saint Thomas More, she became a liaison between immigrant families and Wisconsin’s school choice programs, helping parents navigate our state’s education options. Read the article.
