WCRIS staff welcomed the U.S. military’s new F-35 Lightning II fighter jets to Truax Field Air National Guard Base in Madison last week.
WCRIS Project Manager Abbie Pavela’s husband, Joe, was one of four pilots to fly the jets across the U.S. for their long-anticipated arrival in Wisconsin.
Madison’s 115th Fighter Wing is the second Air National Guard unit in the country to receive F-35s.
