Teacher License Fixer Bill Passes Legislature

Thanks to dozens of e-mails from Wisconsin private school educators, the Senate and Assembly passed a bill that will recognize private school teaching experience in qualifications necessary to get a life license under the state’s teacher license system. It now awaits the Governor’s approval.
More than 900 e-mails have been sent to legislators from private school teachers and principals around the state, urging support of AB851 & SB711 as amended in both houses.
Now would be a good time to thank your legislator for supporting the bill. You can visit the WCRIS Advocacy portal by clicking here to take action now. The Governor will receive a copy of your letter.
