Hardening school buildings is essential but expensive. A one-time Health and Safety Grant would allow private K-12 schools to make necessary infrastructure updates, like installing cameras, locks, intercoms, hard core doors and alarms.

“As a retired law enforcement officer, I have a good understanding of the school’s needs for school safety… With additional dollars and adequate funding we can provide a safe and secure school that all children should have,” wrote a private school stakeholder to legislators about WCRIS’ proposed Health and Safety Grant Program.

It’s time to tell your legislators the same. Click here to urge them to support Health and Safety Grants for Private K-12 Schools by June 5.

The grants will help you keep your students safe – no strings attached.
