The Council for American Private Education (CAPE) urges you to consider participating in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), commonly referred to as “The Nation’s Report Card,” if your school is selected.

Participation of private schools is essential to provide a complete picture of education in the United States. Private schools represent about 24% of the nation’s schools and educate about 9% of students nationwide, according to the U.S. Department of Education Office of Non-Public Education.

All the digital assessment materials are provided by NAEP. There’s no cost to the school. Students in fourth, eighth and 12th grades will be assessed in mathematics and reading. Eighth graders will also take a science assessment.
