The DOJ has announced that funds still remain for School Safety Grants. WCRIS is working with the DOJ and lawmakers to identify ways to help private schools benefit from this program because many private schools did not apply.

State Superintendent Tony Evers says the money should be used to provide mental health education and training for schools. WCRIS would support this as long as private schools are included.

WCRIS will continue to monitor the program and work to ensure that it benefits private schools equally.
