The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has released the updated bulletins and resources for the Special Needs Scholarship Program (SNSP) for the 2019-20 school year.

The SNSP applications are now available and parents can start submitting completed applications to their SNSP schools of choice. Applications and Transfer material can be found here.

To help schools process and verify applications, the DPI has released updated resources here.

Important changes to note:

In the 2019-20 school year, private schools are no longer required to receive written verification with certain language from the public school district that developed the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) or services plan (SP).

Instead, private schools only need to request a copy of the student’s IEP or SP from the public school district and the district is only required to send a copy of a signed IEP or SP that meets the SNSP eligibility requirements.

Please note that if you already have an IEP or SP on file for a student, you are still required to get a copy from the school district.
