Results from a national K-12 education poll last month revealed that parents and teachers have different views on the impact of cell phone use on students:

  • Over half of the parents (55%) polled around the country reported cell phone use as a positive influence on their child’s social-emotional development.
  • Only 16% of teachers agreed.

This underscores that parent and educator opinions sometimes – not always – differ when it comes to their child or student.
