The Every Kid in a Park initiative invites fourth graders to participate in a quick educational activity online here, and in exchange receive a paper pass that allows them and their families to visit federal land and water destinations for FREE.

Fourth grade educators can also participate by getting the passes for their whole class. Teachers can go online here, and download a set of classroom activities. Once the class has completed the activities, you can download passes for each student.

Teachers should prepare now to include these activities early in the upcoming school year to maximize the pass’ lifetime. Incoming third graders can start retrieving their passes beginning on September 1, 2016.

The initiative for current fourth graders runs until August 31, 2016.

In Wisconsin alone there are 10 destinations (see places to visit here) for fourth graders and their families to visit. Each student can bring three adults, and any children under the age of 16 for free. This is an excellent opportunity to get outside explore and learn about the beautiful landscape our state has to offer.
