The U.S. Department of Labor issued a Final Rule updating minimum wage requirements for exempt employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The change goes into effect December 1, 2016.

Many principals are wondering: Does this impact my private school?  Yes, and you need to begin preparing now for this change.

To help you do that, WCRIS has partnered with the Council for American Private Education (CAPE) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) to bring you a webinar on the issue Thursday, August 25 at Noon.

Dr. Tom Cathey, Director for Legal Legislative Issues with ACSI, will conduct the session.  Dr. Cathey will cover the basics of the new regulations, what has changed, and what you need to do. There will also be time for questions and answers.

In less than one hour, Dr. Cathey will provide a clear and comprehensive overview of the impact on private schools of the new regulations from the Department of Labor relating to the exemption of executive, administrative, and professional employees from the minimum wage and overtime pay protections of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
