The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is promoting its School Testing Program. This program may help schools tackle the surge in the Omicron COVID variant.

However, WCRIS principals have noted supply chain challenges around the School Testing program.  Principals note that while the state is promoting the program, tests are not available. One principal even reports that her school has been a part of the program since November but ran out of Antigen Tests last week Monday, and has to shelve their “test to stay” program.

WCRIS suggests that schools take time to sign up for the program now so that they are in the queue when and if tests become available.
