The owner of Minocqua Brewing Company announced his intention to challenge Wisconsin’s school choice programs earlier this week. A lawsuit has not been filed yet, but supporters have begun to fundraise for one.
The brewery is known for launching large legal initiatives and has attempted to undermine the choice program before, unsuccessfully.
Both the Wisconsin and U.S. Supreme Courts have upheld the legality of the choice programs, multiple times, in the last three decades.
Choice advocates, experts and allies are prepared to once again defend the programs’ constitutionality and necessity. WCRIS supports their efforts and will send updates, as needed.
