All schools’ annual safety submissions are due to the state Wisconsin Department of Justice Office of School Safety (OSS) on Jan. 1.

Submissions have to include things such as your school’s safety plan; a record of school violence drills; and more. Learn more about what the law requires.

The platform for uploading school safety submissions has been changed from Sharefile to SharePoint for the 2024 submissions.

For a walk-through of the required materials for safety submissions and the new platform, register for WCRIS’ next Lunch & Learn webinar, “Keeping Students and Staff Safe with the OSS” on Dec. 6.

Attendees will also learn about the impact and benefits of the OSS’s free Speak Up, Speak Out tip line; Critical Incident Response Teams; threat assessment training; and grants.
